Do you carry a chest seal? I carry one behind my trauma plate in my vest. I've had to apply it to a victim of a stabbing, but thankfully never on one of my partners. Accessing the chest seal was very difficult while holding pressure on the wound. In hindsight, I would recommend carrying your chest seal in a more accessible area. If you are in a budget crunch, an expired AED pad works just fine, you can get one from your training division.
